In 2008, Romford Baptist Church installed over 350 traditional wooden stacking church chairs in their worship area. With the ability to stack, the wooden chairs allowed for greater flexibility and regular rearranging. However, with more and more use during the week, and an increased array of formats, the chairs ultimately proved too heavy. We see it as a testament to our level of service and quality of product that the church chose to come back to Alpha again in 2021.
As well as weight being a factor when it came to moving the chairs, storage was another issue. What had not been foreseen were the number of occasions whereby the chairs would all require stacking. Therefore the church leadership chose to explore our High Density Stacking options. This style of chair can be advantageous for many reasons:
- Efficiency of storage – stacking up to 45 high on only half a square metre in some instances
- Weight – generally speaking high density stacking chairs are lighter than wooden framed alternatives
- Style – sleek chrome-plated metal frames are durable and create a long lasting modern interior
The church borrowed several styles of high stacking church chairs from us via our no-obligation trial service. Ultimately they settled on our popular SB2M chair, with optional squarer back. While also mimicking the original colour scheme, the square back design was also less of a departure from the wooden chairs. Weighing only 5kg, and stacking to 25 high, the SB2M chair was the ideal solution to the church’s stacking and storage dilemmas.
We received great service at a superb price when we replaced all 250 of our church sanctuary chairs in 2021. Thank you for all your help as we completed our project!
