At Alpha Furniture we sometimes have enquiries where the customer is starting again, having bought the wrong chairs as little as 10 years ago (not from us). The most common cause of regret is weight. Buying chairs that are too heavy is a common mistake made.
Alpha offer a free sample chair trial service, so that folk can test multiple lightweight yet sturdy chairs for a month without cost or obligation. When stacking chairs are the priority, folk need to consider how easy the proposed chairs will be to live with from a moving and stacking point of view. The nature of lightweight chairs is often that they don’t look as robust as the heavy chairs they may be replacing – however many of our stacking chairs have passed stringent tests for the European market, comfortably withstanding user weights of up to 24 stone.
If your old chairs are plastic or you are replacing pews, then it is all too easy to focus on looks and comfort. Don’t forget to discuss weight also. A lightweight chair can also be very strong and can be stable too, particularly when linked. Alpha Furniture offer a wide range of light weight stacking chairs to suit all interiors and budgets.
Opting for lightweight chairs that are easily stacked needn’t mean a compromise on other practical features. Almost all of our lightweight chairs still offer optional linking, arms and book storage. Upholstered chairs are also available in complimenting faux leather finishes to provide a truly wipe clean finish for a portion of the total number. This is ideal for chairs that may be at greater risk of spills, be it for cafe or kids activities. Those chairs are then still in keeping for those larger services and events where the chairs are required to be front-facing.
Don’t just take our word for it
We regularly receive great feedback in the months after delivery of an order. These often refer to the light weight and how easy the chairs are to live with, as well as comfort of course. Many of our customers are happy for you to arrange a visit to see the chairs in situ, and discuss their success.
